Elche with its UNESCO Heritage site - Palmerar d'Elx - a palm orchard with 200 000 (!) trees, the 12th century Altamira Castle, Arabic Baths or the basilica of Santa Maria? While staying with us, why not visit Cartagena and its ancient Roman ruins, Roman Theatre, Bateria de Castilio, Or perhaps a day trip to Historic Orihuela at the feet of Sierra de Orihuela, where you can visit its medieval town centre with the town's cathedral built between the 14th and the 16th centuries or see the ruins of the mountain top Arab castle? Zenia Boulevard is the largest shopping centre in the province of Alicante.

There is a great selection of golf courses on offer in the Costa Blanca South. The first course, Villamartin, was inaugurated in 1972 and since then another ten have been created. There is a course for every ability, from the beginners pitch and putt, par 3, nine hole courses to championship courses, where PGA organizations from all over Europe come to base their winter academies.

You can also take a trip from Torrevieja to Tabarca Island on a glass floor boat and admire the sea life of the Mediterranean or go crazy on go karts in Orihuela Costa. And for those who crave some adrenaline rush, the Mar Azul sailing school in Cabo Roig offers windsufring, jet skiing, wake boarding or banana boats. Or simply sailing, kayaks or pedalos.
